


Meet the Leadership Team

Dan McAteer
Dan is passionate about driving energy transition and delivering a sustainable future. With over 25 years’ experience across risk management, commercial strategy and financial restructuring, he has held senior management roles at some of the energy industry’s biggest names including Worley, Petrofac, KCA Deutag and Global Energy Group.
Most recently he was Commercial & Supply Chain Director for National Gas, working to protect Britain's energy security and future-proof the gas network for the energy transition.

Derek Thomson
Derek has more than 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, including senior roles in operations, engineering and project management for major operators and Tier 1 service companies including Amec Foster Wheeler, Fairfield Energy, Dana Petroleum and Worley.
Derek leads the operational performance of Nexos Group, including ensuring consistent, safe, efficient and connected performances across our Deliver Lines and Technical Services.
He is also co-chair of Safe Working Essentials, a workgroup set up by member-led organisation Step Change in Safety, which is focused on making the UK the safest oil and gas province in the world in which to work.

Alastair Robertson
Alastair is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and Fellow of the Energy Institute. He has over 35 years of experience in the gas processing industry and an in-depth knowledge of the energy intensive and hazardous process industries including gas production business, having worked as a consultant for most of the gas producing companies in the UK.
He has undertaken a leading role in the development of engineers, from graduates to senior level, to ensure that the same skills and experience are retained within the company.

David Seabridge
David is a qualified accountant with over 20 years of senior Board Level experience in financial, commercial, and operational roles in high-growth and complex businesses where he has been key to strategy and market development.
He has a reputation for driving fast, sustainable, profitable growth both organically and through the identification, execution and integration of acquisitions and building value for shareholders.
David has a proven track record of implementing change management initiatives through deep involvement in the company’s operations, sponsoring critical appraisals of all aspects of each business unit and introducing continuous improvement methodologies.

Iain Pirie
Iain Pirie is the Managing Director of Kelton Engineering, where he leads a close-knit team passionate about delivering trusted flow measurement solutions to the global energy industry.
With over 40 years in the field, Iain’s career has taken him from hands-on technical roles to leadership positions with major players like Shell, Mobil, and ExxonMobil.
He joined Kelton in 2007 to head up operations, and since becoming Managing Director in 2016, he’s remained committed to driving innovation and developing the next generation of expertise.

Geoff Morrison
A qualified FCCA accountant with over 20 years expertise, Geoff has held leadership roles spanning both operational and commercial finance, gaining valuable experience in managing teams and delivering business growth in complex environments.
His career demonstrates his proficiency in financial management, risk assessment, and budget control. These qualities, coupled with his strong leadership skills, position him to oversee the financial activities of Nexos Group, working closely with executive teams and stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making and ensure financial health.
Geoff’s collaborative leadership style and ability to balance strategic oversight with operational execution ensure he delivers both immediate results and sustainable value to the business.

Steve Petrie
With more than 25 years of leadership experience in energy and construction, including senior roles with Balfour Beatty and Centrica, Steve has a proven track record in business development, transformation, and change management.
His experience spans operational excellence, customer experience, and organisational change, helping businesses adapt and succeed in rapidly evolving markets. He is passionate about growth, innovation and create lasting value through strategic thinking, collaboration, and commercial excellence.

Shami Mahindru
Shami brings more than two decades of strategic commercial leadership across global energy services, EPC, and asset management sectors, with a strong track record of driving commercial performance and strategic partnerships.
He holds more than two decades of strategic commercial leadership across global energy services, EPC, and asset management sectors, alongside a strong track record of driving commercial performance and strategic partnerships.
Prior to Nexos Group, Shami held senior commercial and project delivery roles at AMEC, Worley, Scottish Power Renewables, BP and TotalEnergies, where he led complex energy infrastructure projects across Europe and internationally.
As CCO, Shami leads our global commercial strategy across all end markets, strengthening customer relationships and unlocking project value.

Kelly Golightly
With a strong background in the energy sector, Kelly brings over two decades of dynamic leadership in human resources and is poised to drive strategic HR initiatives, talent development, and organisational growth.
Her career has been marked by her commitment to fostering employee excellence and organisational success. Kelly’s extensive experience in senior HR leadership roles has equipped her with a profound understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within our industry.
Kelly is a strong advocate for the belief that an organisation's greatest asset is its people. Her leadership philosophy revolves around creating a workplace culture that empowers, inspires, and nurtures talent. Kelly is passionate about aligning HR strategies with business objectives and ensuring that every employee's journey at nexos is a fulfilling one.
As our HR Director, Kelly collaborates closely with the leadership team and across all business operations to ensure that our people remain at the heart of every decision we make.
She believes in fostering a workplace that values diversity, encourages creativity, and promotes excellence in everything we do.

John Rhodes
John is the Chief Information Officer of Kelton Engineering, responsible for leading the company’s digital products business and strengthening its technology foundations.
With a background spanning engineering, supply chain, and senior leadership roles in corporate services, John has led large-scale technology and transformation programmes across multiple industries.
Since joining Kelton in 2025, he has focused on developing an ambitious new product roadmap, building the group’s digital capability, achieving cyber security accreditations, and developing innovative software solutions that support our clients' measurement assurance and energy transition goals.

Jennifer Shanks
A transformation marketing and communications leader, Jennifer brings over 15 years’ experience growing and evolving energy organisations. Her strategic expertise combines commercial impact with a deep understanding of customer needs, enabling brands to achieve sustainable success.
Alongside driving performance, Jennifer fosters inclusive, positive cultures built on open communication, trust and shared success. Ensuring people feel supported, valued and aligned with business direction.
