Scott McGinigal
Scott McGinigal was appointed CEO of nexos in July 2025, bringing with him over three decades of energy sector experience and a proven track record in delivering complex, high-value engineering projects across offshore and onshore markets.
A Chartered Process Engineer, Scott has held senior leadership positions across major operators and service providers, including Spirit Energy, CNOOC, Total, Mechserv, and Axon Well Interventions. At Spirit Energy, he served as Technical Services & HSES Director, overseeing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, drilling, operations, decommissioning, and technical services. Prior to this, he was Vice President for Major Projects at CNOOC, where he was responsible for the organisation’s business and technical services functions.
Scott’s expertise spans the full asset lifecycle and his leadership has consistently driven safe, efficient, and value-focused delivery in some of the industry’s most technically challenging environments. His background in process engineering and operations provides a strong foundation for his strategic vision, one that combines technical rigour with a passion for innovation and people development.
Under Scott’s leadership, Nexos remains committed to delivering smarter, safer, and more sustainable infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving needs of its clients and support the UK’s drive toward net zero.
Scott is also an active supporter of youth and community initiatives, currently serving as a Board Trustee at the Denis Law Legacy Trust.

Derek Thomson
As COO, Derek has overall responsibility for leading the operational performance of nexos, including ensuring the consistent, safe, efficient and connected performance of our Deliver Lines and Technical Services.
Derek has more than 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector, including senior roles in operations, engineering and project management for major operators and Tier 1 service companies including Amec Foster Wheeler, Fairfield Energy, Dana Petroleum and Worley.
Derek is also co-chair of Safe Working Essentials, a workgroup set up by member-led organisation Step Change in Safety, which is focused on making the UK the safest oil and gas province in the world in which to work.

Geoff Morrison
Geoff Morrison joined nexos in November 2024 as CFO, bringing over 20 years of expertise in operational and corporate finance within the energy industry. A qualified FCCA accountant, Geoff has held leadership roles spanning both operational and commercial finance, gaining valuable experience in managing teams and delivering business growth in complex environments.
His career demonstrates his proficiency in financial management, risk assessment, and budget control. These qualities, coupled with his strong leadership skills, position him to oversee the financial activities of the organisation, working closely with executive teams and stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making and ensure the company's financial health.
Geoff’s collaborative leadership style and ability to balance strategic oversight with operational execution ensure he delivers both immediate results and sustainable value to the business. At nexos, Geoff leads our financial strategy, supporting the organisation’s growth ambitions while maintaining a focus on operational and commercial excellence.

Shami Mahindru
Shami Mahindru joined nexos in August as CCO, bringing more than two decades of strategic commercial leadership across global energy services, EPC, and asset management sectors, with a strong track record of driving commercial performance and strategic partnerships.
Prior to nexos, Shami held senior commercial and project delivery roles at AMEC, Worley, Scottish Power Renewables, BP and TotalEnergies, where he led complex energy infrastructure projects across Europe and internationally.
As CCO, Shami leads our global commercial strategy across traditional and emerging energy markets, strengthening customer relationships and unlocking new growth opportunities.

Derek Mitchell
Derek is nexos' MD of oil and gas and has vast experience of working in the brownfield OPEX market in both project delivery and operator efficiency-related roles. With a passion for operational excellence, Derek is a bold, energetic leader with expertise in building and managing successful teams and businesses.
He joined nexos as Managing Director in 2019 following several years in operations, engineering and project manager roles with Global Energy Group. Prior to this, he worked for operators and Tier 1 service companies including Apache, BG Group and Wood.
Complimentary to his role in nexos, Derek is also co-Chair at Step Change in Safety - an organisation that strives to continuously improve safety and making sure those working on the front line have the highest standards of safety
His background and leadership style are ideally suited to nexos and our unique EPC offering in the UK North Sea market.

Graeme Gray
Graeme has over 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and is Managing Director for Modular Division arm, which is primarily focused on supporting the brownfield modifications market.
He has extensive experience in both the design and manufacture of process equipment, structures and pipework that is utilised in subsea and topside production facilities.
Graeme leads a team of over 100 people across nexos' fabrication facilities across the Aberdeen area.

Alastair Robertson
Alastair is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and Fellow of the Energy Institute. He has over 35 years of experience in the gas processing industry. He has an in-depth knowledge of the energy intensive and hazardous process industries including gas production business, having worked as a consultant for most of the gas producing companies in the UK.
He has undertaken a leading role in the development of engineers, from graduates to senior level, to ensure that the same skills and experience are retained within the company.
As a founding director of the company, Alastair uses his knowledge and experience to help clients overcome a variety of challenges in their businesses.

Paul Rushton
Paul is responsible for all energy transition-related activities for nexos, a rapidly growing part of our business as the oil and gas sector focuses on decarbonising its operations onshore and offshore.
As a respected voice in the industry, Paul is a serial entrepreneur, having founded many businesses including commissioning and start-up company Magma Products, which was acquired by nexos in 2020.
Paul's focus is on helping our customers reduce flaring and greenhouse gas emissions from mature assets by optimising or replacing equipment and assessing their viability for electrification, where platforms are powered with electricity from green energy sources, such as wind farms located onshore or offshore.

Kelly Golightly
Kelly Golightly brings over two decades of dynamic leadership in human resources to nexos as our HR Director. With a strong background in the energy sector, Kelly is poised to drive strategic HR initiatives, talent development, and organisational growth.
Her career has been marked by her commitment to fostering
employee excellence and organisational success. Kelly’s extensive experience in
senior HR leadership roles has equipped her with a profound understanding of
the unique challenges and opportunities within our industry.
Kelly is a strong advocate for the belief that an
organisation's greatest asset is its people. Her leadership philosophy revolves
around creating a workplace culture that empowers, inspires, and nurtures
talent. Kelly is passionate about aligning HR strategies with business
objectives and ensuring that every employee's journey at nexos is a
fulfilling one.
As our HR Director, Kelly collaborates closely with the
leadership team and across all business operations to ensure that our people
remain at the heart of every decision we make.
She believes in fostering a workplace that values
diversity, encourages creativity, and promotes excellence in everything we do.

Craig McKay
Craig McKay is an accomplished professional in his field of digital and information technology, serving as the Digital and IT Director at nexos. With a real passion for technology and a deep understanding of its potential, Craig brings a wealth of expertise and leadership to his role.
Craig earned his BSc Computer Science degree at Robert Gordon University and bar three years in the whisky business, he has spent his career working in oil & gas, implementing Project Controls and Work Management Systems and associated analytics for operators and service companies.
Throughout his career, Craig has consistently embraced the complex and ever-evolving landscape of digital innovation. His keen strategic vision and technical acumen have enabled him to drive transformational change within organisations, helping them leverage technology to achieve their business objectives and deliver a measurable return on investment.
Craig plays a pivotal role in shaping the nexos' digital strategy and overseeing its IT & cyber security operations. He is responsible for identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies and solutions that enhance efficiency, productivity, and ultimately customer satisfaction. Craig collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, aligning initiatives with business goals and ensuring seamless integration across departments.
Craig is passionate about harnessing the power of data and analytics to drive informed decision-making. He leverages advanced data-driven insights to optimise operational processes, improve customer experiences, and identify new growth opportunities.
